Okay, okay I know I swore I would give up after the disappointments of Mediamax and Divshare but.... One of the sites I used in the past was Mediafire. I discovered today that Mediafire has added a number of important enhancements in recent days including folders and a multiple uploader which allows for uploading as many as 10 files at once. Each file can be up to 100 megs in size. There is no limit on the total number of files you can upload or the amount of space your files can occupy on their server. Files remain online indefinitely. Realistically any of this can change tomorrow but for the moment Mediafire is offering some real possibilities for sharing otr files. The service is free. I have uploaded some files and set up individual folders. I will be uploading more files in the coming days. See what you think:

Unlike Divshare, Mediafire file names are not truncated and display in alphabetical order. Another great feature is the ability to save files directly to your own Mediafire account. Quoting from the Mediafire blog:

"Save Files Directly to your MediaFire Account:
Don’t have time to wait for that big file to download right now? No problem! Just save them to your My Files page for easy retrieval later on. On any shared page you now have an alternative to downloading files directly to your own computer. Simply by clicking the “Save to My Files” button on any shared page, MediaFire will automatically save a copy of that file to your account. That way if the original uploading user needs to delete that file, you’ll always be able to keep a copy of it for easy rapid access on MediaFire.com."
