One wonders whether a lawyer scripted this series with these amazing names Frank Watanabe (played by Eddie Holden) and The Honourable Archie Chiselberg, a Japanese houseboy (played by Reginald Sheffield. I've only got the first two or though it is possible that a few more exist and I would be interested if you have them to share. Not much else known about it.

Originally broadcast by NBC 1930-33. Genre - Comedy

Ian:

I have just run across 20 episodes of "Frank Watanabe and The Honourable Archie." All episodes are HQ 256. Total folder is over 500 megs. I'm downloading now and then will upload to Mediafire. I'll post the link when uploaded.

I was also experimenting today with Xdrive. I'm no fan of AOL and the last time, several months ago, I experimented with xdrive I wasn't happy with the results. This time things seemed to go better. I didn't try downloading their application but used their internal uploader. I was able to upload an entire folder at once and the upload speed was pretty good. Once uploaded the files can be downloaded using a downloader. Xdrive allows a free account of 5 gigs and apparently files stay online until you decide to delete them. In order to access files you do have to be a registered member but the signup is free. I uploaded my folder of "Truth or Consequences" to Xdrive. If anyone wants to give it a try the link is:

If anyone shows any interest, I will also try posting "Frank Watanabe" to xdrive. As I say, the ability to use a downloader on this site, especially on large files, is a real plus.

Gary...X drive says you need an AIM screen name. Would my "gilinAZ" suffice? What did you use?

Gil:

It was a long time ago that I originally signed up. GilinAZ should work just fine. I thin in the signup provess they convert it to an aol address so you would probably end up GilinAZ@aol.com

I used otrworld when I signed up. I'll be curious to see if it works for you.

Gary...can you tell me how the complete directory process, on this, works? Can you highlight a complete directory, and it will pick it, and contents, up that way? Do you have to open the directory, and then highlight the contents? What??

Gil:

You need to open the directory and then highlight the files you want to download. I used free download manager for my test. The I right clicked and downloaded the selected files. Good luck.

Just tested it again and looks like if you "Check" the folder and right click and "save" the whole folder will download as a zipped folder even though it wasn't uploacded as a zip file. You also have the option of opening the folder and downloading individual files or using a downloader to download the files.

Gary...if you wanted to upload, would it work the same way? So....you're saying that if you select a complete folder, it will convert it to a ZIP? But...if you open the folder, and select all the files, then they would upload "as is". I "presume", once they are uploaded, or downloaded, they don't go back into a folder, again.

Gary...have you ever tried using FDM to download from MediaFire, or 4Shared, etc? Did it pick up JUST the files?

That seems to be how xdrive is working. I'm still experimenting with the site. I did download their desktop application; it appears as worthless as in the past. There are some features I like about xdrive but overall it seems too quirky for my tastes.

I have tried FDM on a number of sites like Divshare and Mediafire. Unfortunately, downloaders simply won't work on those sites. Divshare, Mediafire, etc often used indirect links which defeat downloaders. They allow you to pick up the files one at a time.

Gary...what's a good description of an 'indirect link"? I presume, a "direct link" is where you can highlight the file, do a r/click on your mouse, and choose "Save As", or 'Copy Link". Do download managers work better on these types?
